Struggling to Find a New Doctor for My Sleep Medication

I took Ambien fairly regularly starting in 2003. slept 8 hours straight for many years and had more energy than I knew what to do with. built up some minor tolerance several years ago but switched to CR and worked even better. by mid 2021 was still usually getting 5 hours sleep at a time then able to go back to sleep. also took lorazepam as needed for anxiety during the day but never more than 2mg. doctor I had for over 20 years who knew me better than almost anyone is now no longer practicing. went through some personal difficulties and health issues and was out of work for 5 months. things started going downhill once my doctor left. New doctor couldn't relate to me at all and doesn't believe in controlled substances. apparently doctors nowadays are being taught in medical school that everyone abuses controlled substances and finding a doctor that will plus understands my personal needs is like finding a needle in a haystack. main reason for going on sick leave for so long was persistent exhaustion after discontinuing my ambien. I get plenty (too much) exercise at my job, have tried all the natural and over the counter stuff and all. hot shower with lavender teal body wash along with dose of melatonin and taurine works somewhat but nothing like the sleep I got with ambien. back before I started taking it I had some sleep difficulties as well but at the current time I'm more worn out than back then and need more sleep to be able to adequately perform my job. ambien was perfect for me but since I took it for 18 years I'm open to trying something else. ambien CR turns off the switch and allows me to fall asleep and stay asleep. Tried Temazepam which worked very well but was concerned about building up tolerance since it's a Benzodiazapine. But possibly Lunesta, Dayvigo or that new one that came out just recently Quiviq would work good also. am currently looking for a new doctor so have no one to write me a prescription for anything.
