Struggling to Eat: What Do You Do When Nothing Sounds Good?

over the last 4-5 days, I've barely eaten anything. I just don't feel hungry. I am hungry in sense of my stomach hurts, my energy is low, and I need food in my belly to feel better. But, the idea of eating is just so unappealing right now. I don't want to eat. I don't want food. I don't feel hungry. But my body is BEGGING for me to just eat SOMETHING. What do you eat when everything sounds gross?

I drink Bonafide bone broth when I can't actually eat. You can order it via amazon if you can't get to a whole foods.

bone broth is a good suggestion! I know some folks who also get bottled protein meal replacer โ€œshakes.โ€ Similarly, a smoothie might be tolerable (and can include protein powder etc if you own some or go to a shop like smoothie king that offers it).

I understand that feeling to a t! I've been experiencing that pretty bad for the past 2 months, i've dealt it for about 8 years now. none of my favorite foods seem appetizing and most days I don't want to bother eating because it feels like a chore despite my stomach burning- then chest bc it always messes with my gerd. My go-to foods are usually applesauce (the mango peach flavor is very soothing for acid flare-ups in my experience. it's also cold and refreshing to help calm the nausea that usually accompanies the lack of eating), angel food cake (so light & fluffy it alleviates nausea and soaks up acid pretty well if you dont mind the sweetness!), and for a salty option I'd say any kind of plain noodles (I buy angel hair gluten free protein noodles that are amazing) that you can add literally anything to or nothing other than a dash of salt. I hope these suggestions help, I'd be totally down to talk more if you ever need!

oh a huge one if you have money bc i saw it mentioned above- when im not in the mood to eat one of the best options is definitely a smoothie, the place we have in my town for smoothies is a lil costly but they use amazing ingredients and I usually get a strawberry banana to give me a blood sugar boost. it always makes me feel full and refreshed without the hassle of physically chewing or eating anything ๐Ÿ™Œ

Protein shakes help me. I use almond milk and whey free protein powder. I noticed milk makes my stomach nausea worse. Peppermint tea is great for stomach upset.
