Not sure what to really say here. I tend to dislike most people or have expectations of them that are rarely met so I don't really have friends outside of my husband and I'm ok in that way but I do recall when I had friends before I found out their true colors and I miss those connections that I thought were real at one point. I tend to be blunt and lack tact but I don't judge and am very understanding. I don't expect in others what I can't give myself.

@Illix I think we’re better off lol it’s more unhealthy to do things you don’t want to do & feel taken advantage of

I don't believe in friendship anymore I only find out that the people I thought are my friends are the ones took advantage of me and did totally the opposite of what they said. I have my kids and my husband period! I am super content and careful to what to say to others so that I don't hurt anyone's feelings but obviously no body cares about mine!

@beba1 I feel ya. Drives me batty when people expect me to be understanding and forgiving of them when they blow up or lose it but heaven forbid if I do, its the end of the world and no going back. Try to be thoughtful and considerate but i guess that's not so common anymore. People expect so much but not of themselves

The older I get, the less I care about being a people pleaser. If you don’t add anything positive to my life…bye!

@Laila11 exactly. Feels like I just don't have the time or patience for BS whereas before I was way more tolerant and always wanted to give the benefit of the doubt and second chances. I'm not sure if it's a healthy lack of caring or not but the outcome is preferable

People tend to be too fake. My husband thinks I scare new people off but I tend to think it's more like cutting to the chase. If they can't handle my crazy, honesty I'd rather know it right away, before a connection is made, before I'm able to be too disappointed lol. Saves us both time

Nice to meet you....sounds exactly like me, except I divorced the hubby. My therapist asked about friends the other day and my response was "I don't like people." I find too many people are judgemental and takers instead of givers.
