Will I ever be able to stop taking Warfarin?

I have been taking Warfarin since 2014. Will I ever not have to take it…

I don’t know about strokes but I had a heart valve replacement so I will be on warfarin the rest of my life but that was my choice. Just stick to whatever your doctor says. They probably just don’t want to risk having another stroke. If you’re prone to strokes you may have to take it forever but that’s not a bad thing.

that's what I had done. I was born with a bicuspid aortic heart valve. They found it while examining my aneurysm. I also chose the artificial valve over the natural one.

May I ask why you are taking it?
