Iā€™ve got Night terrors from a traumatic event with my ex husband. Iā€™ve hit my husband in my sleep and given him BlĶaĶcĶk eyes. Theyā€™ve put me on sleep medications. Iā€™m on Trazadone currently. Itā€™s worked for me. Actually they just cut it in half. And Iā€™m still doing okay.

I also had night terrors and was diagnosed with PTSD from a fall where I was by myself and had to crawl though mud and snow to get back in the house. I had broken my ankle. After suffering with the night terrors for a few months they put me on Escitalopram. They soon stopped. I am still on them. Itā€™s been about four years. Not had any bad events since. I had been going through a lot of stress with my elderly parents and a cancer diagnosis. Stress I believe is the main cause. I also got some Psychiatric sessions which really helped to talk about it. My life is back to pretty much normal I am so grateful

@Ceig I havenā€™t been under a psychiatrist help for 18 years. I had a bad adulthood and was put in prison for eight years. So I have prison nightmares lotta bad things happen to me there and they just never stop Iā€™m on medication and sleep very well itā€™s just when Iā€™m in the doze state Where Iā€™m half asleep and half awake that they happen. Iā€™m in A.AIā€™ve 24 years clean and sober.šŸ˜Ž iā€™m trying meditation now Iā€™m glad that you got better!
