pleaaaaaase any help to stop biting my nails? I have tried EVERYTHING from acrylic nails to even put some spicy sauce in every single one of my fingers which ended in a irritated eye (it was itchy so I scratched my eye)

I get dipped nails done. At first they put tips on, but when they grew off, I've got medium length nails now and I love them!

I remember when I was little, I would continue to bite all my nails except for one. Looking back it must have been rather strange, but I was pretty proud of that one beautiful nail, and it gave me the motivation to avoid biting the others. It's certainly difficult, but once you know you're capable of it in at least some sense, it's easier to let them grow long enough to use a nice nail-strengthner polish. I've also noticed that mine curve as they grow longer, while my twin's remain flat. I've been sitting here since reading this realizing that curve makes it a bit harder to bite them now. 😆

Would a fidget toy help the anxiety? Something to distract the mind from the situation and keep your hands busy. I don't know if it will help with the nail biting but who knows.

I try to see how far I can let mine grow out. Like a challenge with myself. Also try Gel nails, sticks better than acrylic because it's built on your nail. You almost have to grow them out

Oh man I used to bite my nails and then I joined the military and it stopped- because i was constantly doing something so no time to bite my nails, but I've started biting my nails again because of increased anxiety. I dont recommend joining the military to stop biting your nails. But try growing them out just to see if you can, and when you can grow them out, I feel like you would be proud of yourself for not biting them down
