How can I stimulate my appetite without a prescription?
How can I eat again? I was prescribed Periactin (Cyproheptadine) to stimulate my appetite and it had been working great for me but I ran out and I don't have a doctor anymore thanks to insurance issues which means I can't get prescriptions anymore. I don't know if there's anything over the counter that would have the same effect. What can I do?

Something that has helped me is having foods that you don't need to chew, such as yoghurts and soup. It's the movement of the jaw that indicates to your brain that you're eating.
