I haven't had any side effects since starting. I will say for about 2 weeks, I was worse than before and very aggressive toward my loved ones. I was distant as well. However, after about a month, my uncurable depression was manageable. While I still have nightmares and depressing thoughts, my body is happy, and my face is happy, and those thoughts are faint and no longer consume me. I don't want to be happy and feel guilty when I am, but if you want to be happy I believe it will work. I switched from duloxetine to Lexapro, so that could also be the reason for my aggression.

Yeah, that's all I had; it was very noticeable, and my bishop and minister stopped responding to me, understandably. I was a grade A B, and even if I'm depressed, I try to help others, not then. I typically have headaches, dry mouth, insomnia, and nausea, and I take medication for it. Those are the most reported symptoms. I didn't have more of that than usual, though. I was born sick into an abusive family, raped, and attacked. It feels like life hates me. When I start to feel happy, something terrible happens, so I hate being happy.

I've been on lexapro (escolatipram) since 2019. It is literally a life saver. The only side-effects I have is a lower libido and weight gain. All in all I love lexapro. It helps so much

I'm on the same dose as you for panic disorder and severe panic and anxiety attacks for the past month (never ever had this before - scary shit!). I'm starting week 3 and my side effects have been mild. Loss of appetite and anxiety in the mornings. Some good days, some bad. More good than bad so far. I take Klonopin (.25) as needed to help when I have bad days/moments. I didn't have any depression, but am on a good path with the Lexapro.

I’m on the generic version for severe panic attacks and anxiety. I’m on 20 ml of the liquid version. I don’t believe I’ve had any side effects so far. I have had to increase the dose over time. I’m extremely sensitive and always get the side effects really bad. So I understand your fears. Escitalophram in liquid is a blessing to me, but I’ve had meds quit on me after a few years. Which scares me. I’m also on 10 ml of liquid Hydroxyzine.
