Stage 4 COPD - Seeking Support and Advice

The last time I had mine checked I was just at stage 1...ive been having a hard time lately with it. I know i need to go in and have them do the tests again. What scares me is that when trying to do any research about this there is nothing that provides any information about how long each stage can be, how long before you need to be on oxygen, etc. Because everyone is so different this is one if those medical conditions that is really based on your specifics that will determine when we go from one stage to the next. It scares me a little I'm not gonna lie.

Yes I’m stage 4 but I am on hospice. I use oxygen. I can’t walk far so if I do go out which is rare I am in a wheelchair.

My doctor recently diagnosed me with COPD-emphysema. I googled "what stage of COPD is emphysema" and it came up that it is stage 4, but I can't see how.
