Navigating Spirituality with Psychosis

Is anyone else pagan or otherwise spiritual? How has psychosis effected that (if at all)? And how can I tell the difference between a manevolent spirit and psychosis?

Can you help? connect today

I’m Christian. I have religious delusions about demons/evil spirits, and sadly I cannot tell the difference.

I’ve learned to tell the difference over the past decade. I was raised Christian but went pretty dark pagan/spiritual in 2009. My psychosis started in 2012. I’ve learned to tell the difference by the way that the voices talk. The things they say. They actually try to condemn me for no longer being a Christian. I can identify what’s coming from my mind most of the time. It’s hard to tell the difference but spending time talking to my mind and my body I’ve learned.

I'm having a similar affect!!! I feel like my hallucinations speak in tongues but they're also helping me?? I'm spiritual and I'm having trouble separating the two and it kinda freaks me out sometimes 0.0

my mom is an eclectic pagan witch, she would deny my hallucinations existed and that i was just having visions of dead people that were trying to communicate with me. this fed into some existing delusions and did not help me at all
