I've been on a whole food plant based diet since 2018. I was diagnosed in 2001 and have been in W&W until this past month when I started on Galzyva and started on Venetoclax today. My diet hasn't really moved my counts up or down but my overall health and energy levels have been better since I went plant based. I take some supplements and those plant based should take B12. My oncologist is supportive of my diet.

I'm trying to keep my inflammation levels in check by following an anti-inflammatory diet. That means I'm eating more of the good stuff, like salmon, flaxseeds, berries, and leafy greens, which are all loaded with anti-inflammatory goodness. And, to avoid making things worse, I'm steering clear of red meat, processed foods, and sugar, which can all cause inflammation in the body. It's not always easy, but I'm feeling pretty good about my progress so far!

I'm trying to eat healthily, but I'm tired and sad and I need my carbs and ice cream. :(šŖ
