i woke up this morning with a sore throat and im curious how do you know if its from T or not? im not sure if its because im getting sick bc usually id feel weird too but i feel fine its just my throat feels like its closing type thing and its sore

Usually the difference I noticed is that when my voice deepens it feels like a part of my throat in the very middle is sore vs when I'm sick it's more like the walls of my throat if that makes any sense. However! During the beginnings of a cold and the beginnings of a vocal deepening I'd give roughly the same advice take your vitamin c (T can weaken your immune system and as someone with an already weak immune system I noticed that during big growth periods [height, bottom, hair, voice, ect] it can be a bit rougher), eat foods like applesauce and soup, stay hydrated, and rest. Hopefully your voice will drop, but if not maybe you'll catch the cold before it gets bad!

it could be! im on my fourth year of T, and still get a bit of a sore throat every now and then. i would drink water & have a tylenol then nap it off when it gets extra buggy. your voice could be deepening! i was curious and saw you were on gels, im unfamiliar (i do injections,) the change should be similar though. the vocal chords start to thicken (which makes the voice deeper) and it can feel super irritating. the thickening is what makes the little adams apple show up too the soreness should go away within a few days (if it is just the voice), or keep an eye if it is a cold :]. dont be discouraged if you dont notice a lot of voice changes though, theyre subtle, but then suddenly itll feel like damn just dropped a few decibels! good luck on your journey man 👍

  @jaesun thank you! I just have been impatient because i want my voice to drop and i wish i knew if it was a sudden thing or if its super slow i feel like my voice is the same as it was 4 months ago which wasnt long ago but still

    @kxda it's probably both! Your voice will likely deepen slowly and then you get kind of a growth spurt and drop noticeably, the first time I had a noticeable drop was 5 months in but when I looked back through vocal recordings there was also noticable change from the 1st month to the 4th.
