i am worried that i am missing so many great opportunities because of my severe social anxiety. i have so many negative thoughts as well, not connected with / to sa, but i have wanted to kill myself before. thankfully thats a little better now, but i got this app to hopefully help me with those things.

      I had severe social anxiety and had a therapist that wanted to push me into social situations. But- that’s not what I needed. This is my own experience so you may want something more- but I learned on my own after taking a break from the ‘real world’ through homeschooling that I don’t need others to be happy. I then started college classes and my social anxiety decreased immensely just by becoming comfortable with myself. I started giving myself little goals like raising my hand for questions and pushing myself to talk to my professors, even my peers- now I am an officer for a club that I love. I haven’t made any real friends, but I am able to do things I once couldn’t dream of.

      i feel the same way it took me 4 years to actually start going to these events or do something without anxiety what i did to help was either drink some alcohol and be a bit tipsy before hand or wear your headphones to calm you down
