Living with Small Fiber Neuropathy: My Struggle for Understanding

I have been diagnosed with small fiber neuropathy (under various names) for twelve years, and I just do not understand. It has left me with countless other diagnoses, some lasting a month, some lasting the rest of my life. Even at conferences and on apps like this, people don’t seem to understand my struggles. I guess I would like to know if anyone understands or feels this way too?

😥yuppp! Just had another neurologist try to get me to give up searching for the cause of my SFN. But i will continue the search. Only took 13 years to get the SRN diagnosis..

I definitely can relate. When I explain my symptoms to my Rheumatologist, he looks at me like I am insane. He nor some of my family cannot understand that having burning, stabbing pain sensations exist.
