Anybody got advice on how to turn your mind off at night so you can sleep at a normal hour?

I smoke to help me but when I run out and can't get more, I turn off all electronics and put down my phone. And this will sound kinda weird but, I count to 1,000. It basically just makes you focus on counting and eventually your mind just gets bored and turns off. Or on the rare occasion, it doesn't work, I just lay there awake but by then it's usually 4am or something and would be pointless to sleep for 2 hours

I like to put on things like podcasts, audiobooks, or longer YouTube videos to fall asleep to

Listen to a podcast or download the Calm app. They have sleep stories. They’ll knock you out. I have no idea what they’re about because they put me right to sleep.
