Does/did anyone get sleep paralysis? Pre or post diagnosis? If so, how often do/did you experience it? What does it feel like?

Had it a lot when I was a teenager so way pre diagnosis. I was able to train myself to wake myself up in the midst and practiced better sleep hygiene. Try sleeping in your side or stomach rather than on your back

I think it's hard to recognize and then to remember times I've experienced sleep paralysis. The first time I knew it was happening was during one of my sleep studies. The woman who came in to check on me after I woke up asked me why I wasn't moving yet because she thought I was maybe hurt or something. My body was just not yet cooperating even though my mind felt awake and alert.. Like my brain and body had a delay in communication. I'm not sure if this makes any sense...lol. It's hard to explain!
