what medicine does everyone take for sleep, it sucks because I run out of some of the ones doctors give me so I don't drink so much water at night

My psychiatrist gave me trazodone and it has worked great for me. I try to take it like 20 mins to an hour before I want to fall asleep. Now if I try to fall asleep, I can actually fall asleep and stay asleep (used to take hours to sleep and woke up several times a night). I haven’t noticed any side effects, except for being extra tired if I don’t get at least 8-9 hours when I take it.

Some people use over-the-counter antihistamines or melatonin for sleep. Others have mentioned using prescription medications like Ambien or a low dose sleeping pill. Natural remedies such as valerian root, passionflower tea, and Sleepytime tea have also been suggested. Some people also find relief with Zquil, Unisom, or Tylenol PM.
