Struggling with Sleep Anxiety

Does anyone else get panic/anxiety attacls while trying to fall asleep? This has been an ongoing struggle for the last little bit. Does anyone know how to help with it? (I take an anxiety medication every night but that doesn't seem to work for these)

I used to have this issue until I got on the correct meds. Maybe talk to your doctor about making some changes there?

I listen to sleep music personally and it has helped me a lot, it gives my brain something sleep to focus on rather than my thoughts.

I’m with you. I experience this because my intrusive thoughts, negative spirals, overthinking, etc is all worst at night when I’m alone with myself and my thoughts/worries. I’ve found that binaural beats works really well for me, and honestly anything that serves as a distraction until the anxiety/panic attack has passed. Other things that help me are podcasts (especially uplifting/empowering ones), TV, music (sleep music or otherwise), stretching/yoga, taking a short walk around the house, a cold shower, and box breathing.

I also experience this. CBD capsules with THC has been helpful for me!

Yes, I used to ALL the time but now it’s only occasionally because I’ve learned some good ways to help… I would definitely recommend staying off your phone/watching tv at least 30 minutes before you go to bed (It’s so much stimulus that makes your brain wired) a huge thing that has helped is doing a guided breathing meditation (search YouTube) then I will go to sleep while listening to sleep music with binaural beats (I recommend the channel SleepTube on YouTube!) hope this helps you!!! 💕
