I take this and haven't noticed any side effects personally. Although I have been given a low dosage and when it wasn't enough alone they added a different medication instead of increasing the dosage of this.
The pharmacist advised me the most common side effect is a cough. Although that is possible only based on their experiences.
They also advised me to beware of my ankles or wrists becoming swollen. This is more of a risk in hot weather or at higher altitudes.
