Does anybody else just randomly get short of breath for a couple minutes? Like it is noticeably harder to breathe without an apparent cause. It usually only lasts a few minutes before it resolves. I just take deep breaths through it. just wondering if anyone else experiences this. thanks for your time.

Yes I feel like sometimes my respiratory muscles are not strong enough to draw breath in and out. Other times I feel like my airways are constricted but I’m not wheezing and my inhaler doesn’t help.

Yep, heart rate was up and down .. the ER gave me a referral to a cardiologist but they said everything was fine

I have this SOB (shortness of breath) occasionally. I'll be 73 in August. I am ignoring it for now. My friend had it when walking for exercise & had to get a PACEMAKER. My 83 year-old sister fainted & hit the ground. She had to get a PACEMAKER.

@Beeble I wonder if it could have something to do with PoTS? I'll bring it up to my Dr when I see her next.

@stardust_1999 it surely may have to do with pots! keep me updated please :) - lav

I totally get what you’re feeling! Sometimes I’m just trying to walk up some stairs and the wind gets knocked out of me even when I wasn’t doing anything really different than my usual routine.

@kaz_m what a relief! I mean, I'm sorry this affects you as well, but at least we aren't alone. I notice mine more when I'm laying down, or just plain sitting in a chair. I do get it while I'm walking and stuff though too. Its just the weirdest thing.
