Once every year or two, I get a migraine so terrible that I end up profusely vomiting for a good 30min. I've tried taking medication at the beginning of a headache, but sometimes that doesn't do the trick. Does anyone have any advice on what I could do when the migraine's progressed to feeling.... puke-y?

One person suggested going to the ER for a migraine cocktail if the symptoms are severe and last over 48 hours. Another recommended seeing a neurologist and getting on some preventatives. They also mentioned that urgent care has given them toradol, which they found helpful. Some people have found relief with prescription medications like sumatriptan and rizatriptan. Others have tried non-medical methods such as using an ice hat or listening to soft noises or meditation podcasts in a dark room.
