Severe Fatigue from Metformin?

Is it Metformin that’s giving me severe fatigue? Anyone in the same boat?

I can't take metformin. Took it for a week and had a debilitating case of shaking. Literally laid on the couch and shook all over. The sad part is it would help with almost all my conditions at once.

I don't remember being fatigued from Metformin. I was fatigued when my body was adjusting to a healthier lifestyle, but that was only for a couple of weeks. Best wishes on sorting that out.

How long you have been on metformin ? The only sideffect I remember was diarrhea, but that was only for the first few months after I took it .

My doc took me off of it because I literally couldn't stay awake, we gave it 6 months and it was still no better and it gave me gut issues and didn't seem to be helping my blood sugars.

I haven't been on it long enough to know for sure if it's the metformin but i do feel the same way.

Yes, I am always tired and lack energy. I wonder if over time the fatigue will go away.
