Severe Digestive Issues - Seeking Advice

The week of Feb 7th I was in and out of the ER twice. I had horrible right lower quadrant pain that would hurt in my back as well. I was told I have IBS! I’ve never been someone to have pain really. I have a super high pain tolerance, I run marathons and workout a lot. This pain was worse than labor! March 14th I had an upper scope done and found out I have multiple gastric ulcers. No changes and from Feb 7 weighing 141 to April 20th down to 119! They did a lower scope. The dr said nothing was found. I have all symptoms of Crohn’s. I have NOT had a regular BM in 4 months whatever I eat comes out or I get horrible heartburn! Anyone having same issues???

I have the same right lower quandarnt pain , that sometime radiates to my thighs, buts or back. After all investigation, they did not find anything - hence it's IBS and need to watch what I eat . This spasm like pain can get very strong sometimes and I literally cannot move till it passed away. I have been told antispasmodic helps , I have one medicine that I take and it helps relax the pain . Thank god for that !

Yes. I experienced the same thing. Pain that was so bad I’d pass out. IBS is a diagnoses given because everything else has been ruled out and there’s nothing “physically” wrong with you. There’s many types to try and help it but no fix and truly no understanding of it. They can rule out everything else with colonoscopy/endoscopy, different scans and blood tests. Different medications include pills you have to take before eating and some after eating. Some are powders to mix in your drink, etc. I’ve been through almost all and nothing has helped but I’ve also found it’s not just IBS. I’m not sure if you’re female or not, but endo could also be a contributor especially if you experience very painful periods. Doesn’t hurt o look into it as it can grow on your intestines and colon causing more pain. Best of luck

I also dropped 150 pounds over a year span dude to everything going through me at first. Look up a low-fodmap diet. It helps you figure out what your body can and can’t tolerate
