I’m having severe anxiety and panic attacks. I find it difficult to function on a daily basis. My heart rate rises in the 140s and the thought of leaving the house is a trigger. Normal tasks seem so overwhelming. What should I do to help at least lessen my anxiety?!

      You need to google how to ground yourself. That really helped me. Also training yourself when you start to feel panic to think this has happened before, I am not being hurt, nothing bad is going to happen. These things really helped me.

        @Trina9783 I’ll definitely try that! Sounds worth it. Anything to help

      Do you have a therapist? I have found my therapist to be really helpful and when I’m struggling I see her multiple times a week. In the short term you might be able to get some rescue meds like a Xanax type thing to help bring you down. I also really recommend breathing exercises and other physical things to help you relax your body.

        @AriFerrari I do take Ativan, but I’ve been on it for years now. I unfortunately don’t have insurance or a psychiatrist, so I’m at the end of my rope

          @DeeMB you can do those therapy apps. Have you seen them? You don't have to have insurance.
