What is the process of getting a service dog for POTS like? I know that it likely varies by state but it’s something I’ve been thinking about lately and I don’t even know where to begin

I am currently training my dog as a service animal, alerting to POTS episodes is one of their tasks.

I use tandem team! My alert sd is on medical break rn from an ear infection but it has helped tremendously! I tend to push myself to far and she absolutely will not put up with my bs. 🤣

I’ve had my service dog since before I knew about my POTS to help with fatigue while walking (obviously we now know that’s POTs) and arthritis. The main thing she helps with these days is picking items up off the floor which helps me so much! My next service dog will hopefully be able to notice a high heart and notify me or to alert me when I’m starting to get weak so I don’t push myself.
