Can a Service Dog Help Manage POTS Symptoms?

I have been wondering if a service dog could help me manage my pots. Does anyone know what they can do for pots and if it’s beneficial? Or is it more work and will make my symptoms worse?

I’ve had a service dog since before my POTS diagnosis for other reasons but over time her use as a POTS SD has grown. Her original task of mobility assistance providing weight-bearing support when my joint were more of an issue has become more of counter balance and support for when my heart rate is too high, or I get overheated and feel like a ton of bricks. One of the best things is picking items up from the ground for me- dropped items or dirty clothes for laundry. It’s less bending and therefore less symptoms So many other helpful things. But you have to know if it’s right for you. Dogs are a lot of work even if they are trained service dogs. Taking her outside in the peak of summer feels like genuine torture for me but for me there are a thousand other times that make up for it. That being said I know people who have gotten service dogs and later felt like it was too much and it wasn’t what they needed.
