Experiencing Side Effects of Sertraline: Share Your Stories

I feel nausea for like the first 3 weeks of taking it. I find I sweat a lot more than usual and weirdly enough and I don't know if this happens to others but I tend to dream a lot more. Night sweats and lack of appetite are the other things i can think of. I'm on 150mgs for context.

It worked alright for me, but starting it up kicked my butt. It greatly affected my autonomic nervous system. I struggled to fall asleep, then struggled to wake up. I'd forget to breathe and black out. I felt so sick for about a week, and then my body mostly adjusted. I had to be careful to take it on time. Otherwise, those symptoms would come back. It helped some with the depression, but after maybe a year or two of being on it, it stopped working for me. I didn't notice at first, but I dissociated for months, walking through what felt like a dream, until I was finally knocked out of it by a big life event caused by my dream-like state. I got fired from my job, which caused me to reevaluate my life, and I had to switch medications. I hope it works better for you. I tend to react poorly to medications. I had the best mania experience then a hard crash. Found out my symptoms were that of bipolar disorder. Now i take olanzapine with my setraline and i can sleep again

severe anxiety snd constant nausea. my dose was increased from 150mg to 200mg due to obessional traits do se gone bck to 150mg

I had stomach issues but only for a day or two whenever my dose increased. No long lasting side effects

sickness and extreme anxiety for the first few weeks, lack of appetite too

I'm on 200mg & havent noticed any. Have been on various ones since my first MDD dx in 1997 😳

Definitely lack of sex drive. I didn't get many other side affects
