This had happened to me when an I first started taking sertaline and it eventually went away after about2-3 weeks. It just really bad side effects until the medicine gets in your system good.

I'm on Duloxetine and my memory issues scare me. I forget words I'm looking for and appointment times. I just got off the phone with my pt because I didn't remember when I scheduled and I double booked a day of appointments. These medications all have these nast side affects.

It sounds like sertraline might not be the best med for you. I would highly recommend taking to your psychiatrist about trying something new. There are tons of other options available that might be a better fit for you.

Always write down what you need to accomplish. But furthermore, if you are have more issues than normal since you started on this medication, perhaps you should look at the side effects. If this is an issue there other meds you can try. I am on Duloxetine and it works great. It takes time to get into your system but once it starts working it's a wonderful thing. I hope you find relief soon my friend. Best of luck.

How long have you been taking it? I know the first few weeks were definitely an adjustment period for me but after that everything seemed to level out. If it's been more than a few weeks I would contact your doctor about it right away.

I’ve had memory issues ever since I started anxiety medication in general. It’s rough but mark down whats super important & forget the rest. I always put down my therapy appointments or doctor appointments on a calendar because yes, I’ll forget.
