Sensation of Slow Perception

This is how to describe, but has anyone ever experienced the sensation that everything around you, sound, vision, movement, outside of yourself is going insanely fast, but you yourself are slow in comparison? Like it’s almost dizzying? It’s as if your brain hit fast forward. I’ve experienced this a lot (not in some time), but I have no idea what it ever was. And when I asked people assumed I meant figuratively like “oh, wow how the time flies when you’re having fun.” But no, it literally is, but you’re not? Like your walk might speed up or your arm movement might speed up. But your brain and thoughts aren’t? You’re perceiving much slower than you should be? Please LMK if you’ve had this or even KNOW what it is or is a symptom of.

This sounds like depersonalization or derealization. You may want to look those up. I myself suffer from severe anxiety and panic disorder and have had experiences like you've described.

thank you, I think it might be derealization, tho one things don’t line up, that’s most certainly the closest thing
