Hey. I also have really bad seasonal affective disorder so i have some thoughts. In my case, my psychiatrist ups my antidepressant in the fall and winter, as well as telling me to take 3,000 units of vitamin D3. It doesn’t make it go away, but it does help! I may have other thoughts later. You can message me if you wish💜

You guys know that you each have separate problems, they're not because our at each other. Remember that in addition to normal ups and downs, you have seasonal ups and downs too, but that there will be ups again. It's not a fight between you, it's a fight you both are facing, you can be on each other's team. Try to find the most positives you can during these harder times. In my area even tho it's winter there's a bunch of different birds that are still around and have fun in the cold and the snow.

In my opinion its up to the man to still keep up the relationship and to be the strength and masculine role. So if he’s allowing the relationship to fall a part he’s not the one for you anyway, wether you love him so much or not. But thats my opinion, i have strong beliefs in the femenine and masculine role.

@StrawberryMilk but like everyone elsenis saying here. just focus on yourself, work on yourself and love yourself first before any man.

You each need to focus on yourself and taking time to heal individually. Remember that trying to be around someone all the time will not help the relationship and instead will hinder it!

@enjoyskyblue we see each other only once a week usually, we aren't moved in together yet. But we've tried that thing, to not see each other as much and it distance is very very much and also caused another rough patch 😥

Do y’all have a Happy Light? My boyfriend and I have the same issue and we can’t afford therapy so we got a Happy Light to simulate extra sunlight and it genuinely does help so much. You can get them on amazon

-Vitamins and a sun lamp could make your seasonal depression a little better -Try to get into the Christmas spirit. Ik it might be hard since you're not feeling so good, but trust me, once you try your best and do what you can to make yourself feel a little better, it'll become easier and I promise you'll feel a lot better. Watch Christmas movies, get some coco, decorate some if you're up for it, make some cookies. Christmas is the highlight of winter and getting into the spirit helps me a LOT. -Acknowledge that you both have seasonal depression. Put yourself in their shoes when you feel yourself getting angry at them. Realize your triggers and recognize them before they trigger you. Just be there for each other. Maybe set some boundaries, like if an argument gets too heated, seperate for a while until you both feel better. Talk about the issue if needed, just leave it be if it isn't something serious.

Maybe you should try couples therapy!

@dandelion_flower do you know any nice apps for Android that do it? I can't do couples therapy irl because my bf isn't in therapy yet and that's a requirement is to have visits with him for awhile before couples therapy.
