Schizophrenia and Friendship: Is It Common to Have Few Friends?

I lost a lot of friends when I got sick. Social stuff became way different. I have a couple close friends still. One of the most important people that has stuck around is someone who has a bad case of bipolar one, he’s doing well and has been there with me more than anyone else because he understands. This is an isolating disease. I miss having fun with friends, but now, it’s more realistic and more important to have quality over quantity. I barely hang out with anyone but I love and am close to the few friends I have.
