Sometimes that happens. Usually it's because the symptoms are aggravated by the drugs. That doesn't mean that the problem isn't real, just that it hasn't manifested yet in sober life. No... unfortunately I was born this way. 😥 However, I can understand some of what you're going through. I was misdiagnosed as bipolar 1. The meds made me worse. Now, my new meds help.🤗 it's hard to be classed as one diagnosis when there's something else going on. My best advice is that if you want to get off meds, do so gradually. Make sure you can deal with the consequences of being at each step, and that you don't find that the diagnosis is actually right. Good luck.
