Coping with Schizoaffective Disorder Diagnosis and Disability

Hi! I was just diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder bipolar type after 3 month in patient. How do you cope with your diagnosis and how do you get on disability? I’m a student (full time 13 credits USA). I tried to apply for disability but was rejected due to me being a student. Do I just go about my life without disability?

I'm on disability. It used to be a lot easier to get on it. I'm thinking of being a student again, to get a nursing degree. I'm a total medical nerd and a bibliophile. I come across as someone with a masters from my extensive reading. If you are looking to improve your schizophrenia symptoms, at least the negative ones, look into tai chi. It really helps!

Disability helped me so much. Idk why they would reject because you are a student. I think the right words must be said.

I am on disability and a student. Also I work with the disability center at my school. I also get a disability scholarship. You should be able to go to school and get disability benefits.
