Scared of Referral to Weight Management Clinic

It’s very hard to be overweight and sick 🤒 I hope all goes well- if u ever want to talk about how it goes or your fears feel free to reach out! I love my doctor because she never once even mentioned my weight as a thing that could be addressed to help alleviate some of my joint pain, she knew my weight was the least of my problems (and not the cause of them), but I am absolutely terrified the people at the weight management clinic will not be so understanding

That does sound scary, I've never been to a clinic exactly like that but I guess arming yourself with info about how those appointments usually go and examining your own feelings about it (fearful/confusion/excited/clueless/judged/defensive?) will help you prepare. So you don't have all this sprung on you in the moment. I can recommend checking out doctors that speak about how weight is seen in medicine like Dr Ashie Larmie.
