Why do I feel sad around my roommates?

I’ve been getting really sad whenever any of my roommates are home and have only been feeling ok when I’m home alone or home with my partner. I’m really good friends with my roommates, so why do I hate having to interact with them when I’m in common spaces?

Im the same way but with my parents. For me it’s more like i enjoy my own company, and although i love them having to interact with them is just draining. They dont even have to say anything to me and i just feel a shift within myself. Im not sure why (or if thats how you feel too) but ive been reflecting on how i feel and then try to figure out why i feel that way during these encounters. Sorry for the long comment but hopefully that helped in some way!

I don’t have much advice but I experience the same thing (I live at home with my parents and one of my younger sisters. I’m 23). It sucks for sure. Wonder what kind of advice is out there
