Hi! I decided to start a team to run a 5k near me that is for childhood cancer. I’m super excited for the race and I got some people to join however I have asthma + some other breathing issues and I am having trouble training. I get out of breath really easily and can’t seem to find a rhythm. Does anyone have any tips for asthmatics when it comes to running? I’ve always been super active but never went just for runs before and I don’t want make a fool of myself in front of my team. Any ideas would be great! Thanks!

Same, anytime I exercise I always take a rescue inhaler puff beforehand which has always really helped me! I usually never have to take another puff after

Before any exercise I use my inhaler, if it's going to be a long run or similar I use my nebulizer before it. Also make sure you are hydrated. Sometimes I have to stop, walk for a few mins while catching my breath. Personally I don't worry about what those around me think. It's about my health and still living my life.
