I started using "Skin+Me" and they prescribed a cream with Tretinoin, Niacinamide and Azelaic Acid. It's been 6 weeks so far but I was noticing a difference since week 1. Skin is also softer, scarring from previous rosacea damage is disappearing, and my pillowcases aren't being bleached by the cream :) Highly recommend! šŸ‘

Mine was very severe, with open, weeping sores. The sores were all over my face, even on my eyelids and the rims of my eyes. I was treated by my dermatologist with metrocream and a low dose of doxycycline. On her advice, I also use a gentle moisturizer with sunscreen every morning. It's called CereVe SPF 30. I am allergic to a lot of ingredients in skin care products and I chose this one because it doesn't have any of my allergens and it's very light. Aside from that, I gently wash my face. I have personally found that using only water works best for me. Anything else leads to another flare.

@offthebeatenpath I’m actually dealing with this rn! And have been prescribed the exact same thing! Doxycycline and metronidazole. And my face looks great but I haven’t been using sunscreen or moisturizer and she told me to and gave me a list of sunscreens. And I went and got one and it causes me to break out. And since it’s winter it’s been so dry the metrocream started peeling and flaking and so I started using a Cetiphil moisturizer but it causes me to break out too. But I have tried a tiny sample bottle from the derm of CeraVe moisturizing lotion with sunscreen SPF30 and I didn’t break out from that so maybe I’ll go get that. I’d love to talk with you more about what you’ve found works for you since our treatments seem to be so similar and effective

I also use the doxycycline and I'm not sure it works that well either. I get bad flare ups when I'm out in the heat for a while and can't seems to keep it under control
