has anybody had a rotator cuff so torn that they had to have reverse total shoulder replacement? I'm having that a week from Tuesday and I'm kind of scared. I want to know how the healing went and the physical therapy and are you out of pain for the most part because I can't even lay flat to sleep I'm having to sit up to sleep because it's so bad and the pain so awful. My left one is also torn. I'm having the right one fixed first

A: One person mentioned having four rotator cuff surgeries and eventually needing a reverse shoulder replacement. They used an ice machine shoulder pack for pain relief and slept in a recliner, as laying down was not possible. Another person had a reverse shoulder replacement and said their recovery was difficult, taking five months to regain the use of their right hand and still undergoing physical therapy for impaired motion. However, another individual had a positive experience with the surgery, reporting increased flexibility and overall satisfaction with the results.
