Your symptoms sound exactly like mine. The reflux medicine didn’t help. I started the low FODMAP diet and drink ginger tea in morning to aid digestion, peppermint tea in evening to diminish reflux and IB guard peppermint oil pills anytime I felt stomach issues coming on. Once my stomach had a good reset from these, my reflux diminished. I stopped having as much chest pain and food felt stuck less often. I discovered trigger foods that cause reflux so I eat them less and if I do, I drink Iberogast drops and digestive enzymes to help me digest it better as well as ginger candy

Something that helped me was finding out I have Non-Celiac Gluten Sensitivity that severely worsens my GERD and food catching in my esophagus. Pantoprozole/Omeprazole both didn't work for me. I avoid nightshades, as those do me in the worst.

I am on that same medication and it does work very well. I use to get these suffocating attacks after l eat where my entire throat closes up and my food wood slowly come out of my mouth and l could not breath. It turned out my esophagus was not digesting any of my food so it was over flowing
Also avoiding spicy foods might help. They’ll cause reflux but also more esophagus and stomach contractions 👍🏼 trying plainer calming foods

@bananaz thank you for your advice 🙏 I am trying to be more mindful and incorporate meditation into my life more and I think what you suggested about meditating before meals is a great ideA💕
Hi, I take pantoprazole for the reflect / heartburn. It helps a lot! My throat used to be on fire by the end of the day. I would try meditating before you eat for a few minutes. Maybe coming to a relaxed state and consciously preparing to eat will tell your body it’s time to eat and digest. There are some short guided meditations on youtube if you’re interested. I tried them for my IBS. Good luck 💕
