When I'm deep deep in pain and there is nothing I can do, I tend to repeat "this is just a feeling, this will pass" as a mantra in my head. It's not much but it helps me from panicking

I find the pain to be unbearable. I have used hydrocodone and it works very well if you take it at the very beginning of the episode. Long ago a G.I. gave it to me, and it works really well. Now my primary care physician gives it to me. It’s not easy to get a doctor to give it to you for stomach problems, because most of the time they don’t believe how painful this can be. And hydrocodone is very addictive. Hydrocodone along with its pain killing abilities it also has an affect on your digestive system, it really slows it down so it stops contracting. It’s not a long-term fix at all, but it definitely helps in the moment.

I honestly think just taking it easy. Of course be mindful of the diet too, but don’t force yourself to do more than you feel you can take. It’ll just make you feel worse in the long run.

Be careful with diet. Notice what gives you symptoms. Avoid the problem makers. 💕
