I have had hsv 2 for decades. Some years were rough but I was able to go many years with barely an outbreak. Unfortunately menopause changed everything in my body and now I need to take daily antivirals. Every time I try and stop the antivirals I get another outbreak. So it’s just not worth it. I’m just thankful antivirals work

I've had oral herpes my entire life, literally don't remember a time when I didn't get cold sores. As a kid I'd get cold sores fairly often but now I'm in my 30s and I get them maybe twice a year at most. I find they pop up more when I'm going through something very stressful. For instance, had one pop up the day before my husband left on his first deployment. So convenient 🙄

I've never had a breakout. I suspected that I had been exposed years ago. My doc said, some people never have a symptom. I also started taking olive leaf extract and using dmso and solution of olive leaf extract. I found info online and have read many reviews of the individual treatment.
