I've been waking up with red spots on my skin that are usually a couple inches in diameter. I usually have one on my neck and one to three on my chest, depending on the day. Autoimmune disorders run heavily in my family, so I was wondering if this might possibly be the sign of one? I also have POTS, which I've been told is comorbid with an autoimmune disorder more often than not. Is this another lovely POTS symptom, or could it be something else? Thoughts?

One of the replies suggests that it could be petechiae, which can occur due to lupus or eczema. Another reply mentions that POTS and MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome) often occur together, and itchy hive-like patches can be a part of MCAS. However, these are just possibilities and it's recommended to consult with a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis.
