      I like to practice being mindful and think about why I am upset by the trigger. I can try to rationalize it. However, if I'm feeling too overwhelmed in the moment, removing myself from the situation can help. Sometimes you get trapped with something distressing, and you just have to try your best to make it through until the "danger" has passed.
