Hi everyone! I was just discharged from the hospital on Sunday. I had an ER visit for dehydration from diarrhea on Thursday that turned into an emergency colonoscopy and a 3 night hospital stay. I’m recovering now and trying to figure out my diet. How will I know when this flare up is getting better?

I had a really bad flare up back in December and was close to death. Food was really hard to get down - stay strong! Baby food can be really nice because it’s easy to digest. Even just blending up your regular food. Once I was able to eat solid food again I had rotisserie chicken and sweet potatoes with honeydew. Oatmeal is also good, and you should get some Pedialyte!
I’m sorry you had to be in the hospital for so long, that really sucks. I personally find that once I can eat off the low residue diet without having a lot of pain and urgent bathroom runs is when I say my flare is starting to get better
