I have really been working on grounding myself lately, telling myself that that I am real and everything is going to be ok, even if it doesn’t feel like it is. Another big help for me is to feel things with texture and to keep myself doing something.

One big help for me are these “duo” mints, they’re fruit-flavored and bumpy on one side, and minty and smooth on the other. they help ground me, and since they’re just mints, I can take them pretty much anywhere Also physically making noise helps ground me, as well as using my record player

I name 3 things I can see, hear, taste, feel, smell. Or try typing in ‘body scan’ on YouTube. (Type of meditation where u think about one body part at a time).

Big agree on the stimulation !! First I remind myself that, although it’s startling, I’ve been through episodes like this before and have been safe and come out just fine. Then I turn to some sort of stimulation that’s comforting, like pets or a comfort show!!

i focus on talking out everything i’m seeing and doing to keep me in my head. kinda like narrating a little bit so you can focus on what’s actually in front of you.
