Actually let me be more specific because Idk if you have what I do. I have functional neurological disorder. You may have something different than me that alike just throws into the Disorders of Nervous System

Oh god, I feel you. Nothing like being diagnosed with a repackaged conversion disorder, right? How did you get diagnosed? I got diagnosed after a week long stay in the epilepsy monitoring unit.

I don't want to be seen as the crazy one like I was trying to make up symptoms and seek attention. I get pnes seizures, during them no matter how hard I tried I couldn't move it was frightening tbh

❤️oh nice, FINALLY! Youre the first person Ive talked to that has this "not uncommon" disorder. Omg I know right? Its in our head for sure but its not like we can control them......but whys it gone then? Have you ever been diagnosed with ptsd?

@clydesayzso actually I've been in therapy longer than I had received my diagnosis which is why I don't understand any of this 🥲😅

And no I haven't:/ my therapist says I haven't displayed symptoms of ptsd

The first time I had an episode they thought I had a stroke because the rifht side of my face was droopy. I was so humiliated I actually contemplated suicide because I didnt wanna explain what it was I had to them. I immediately made an appt with a psych dr that operates out of my neurologists office. He made me feel so much better abt it. Crazy ppl honestly dont run around contemplating whether or not theyre crazy. Uhhhh I dont mean to knock your therapist exactly but I dont think you need that therapist any more. Maybe ask your neurologist to refer you to a therpist that has experience dealing with FND

If you start seeing one who specializes in this disorder youll feel a lot better just knowing you dont have to feel like you need to defend your symptoms because they dont understand.

@clydesayzso looool yeah I probably do but i think my medical insurance wouldn't cover it, I'm still in school and paying for that would be a hassle I think I may have ptsd not sure of what exactly though they actually thought I had an aneurysm and the thought of me possibly dying didn't help out with the seizures

@clydesayzso that's what my neuro said but I did mention that I had a therapist so must've been why he didn't refer me to any
