Random Itching with Fibromyalgia

I’ve been randomly super itchy where it turns red and slightly bumpy - but then stops. It’s all different spots and it’s not consistent - is this related to fibro for anyone?

I totally get weird itchy spots too. My dermatologist thinks it sort of like hives, I feel like it's related to central sensitization syndrome. I switched to unscented soaps and that helps a bit.

I have Fibromyalgia and something called Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). From what I've heard, it's very common in people with Fibromyalgia and EDS. I think the itchiness/rashes I experience can usually be attributed to MCAS, but considering how many health issues can be caused by Fibro, I wouldn't be surprised if Fibro can cause an itchy response. Do you notice if there are any triggers that set off the itchiness? (Certain foods, temperature change, stress, etc?) Maybe look into MCAS as well as more info on Fibro and rashes to see if you resonate with any other symptoms and maybe that might help narrow it down to whether it's a Fibro response or something else.

whoooaaa been a while since I saw MCAS written down! My mom was suspected to have it for a REALLY long time. I actually don't really know if she really had it, since every doctor said something different, but either way, MCAS is a BITCH. Keep fighting!
