Prettyjazz , sorry to hear your meds make you feel like a zombie. I’m on a Jak Inhibitor, which doesn’t impact cognition at all. I am mostly plant based. Red meat makes me flare too. I also avoid most of the common allergens - gluten, dairy, eggs.

Wow! That’s awesome to hear you found a treatment that works. It’s hard for me. I’ve been dealing with mine since 7/2019 and my first year was so bad (disabling) and now I can walk normal and just go through hot feet flares. (So weird) but the meds help but make me feel like a zombie and cutting red meat out of my diet has helped with the flares not occurring as much

I’ve had RA (or JRA) since I was 12. At this point, I’ve had it for 2/3rds of my life. When treatment works, I am pain/swelling free and don’t think about my RA at all, except to feel eternally grateful for having a physically untethered body. For me what has worked best is diet and pharmaceuticals.

Oof I am so sorry the symptoms came back but worse, that’s just a mind fork (yes I’m using fork on purpose in place of the other similar word lol)

Honestly I'm not sure. It was only just keeping it under control. My blood work wasn't getting any better on it. But it also wasn't getting worse. Then around November my numbers all started increasing again and my symptoms came back much worse than before.

Is there a reason the treatment stopped working? Like your body adapts to it or is it all just a guessing game?

When I first started humira it's like my joints felt lubricated and could move more smoothly. Unfortunately it stopped working after about 8 months.
