Looking for effective RA medication suggestions

Does anyone have any suggestions on medications that actually work for RA?

Unfortunately it's not just one magic drug it's a combination of medications. And what works for me will not work for you. And sometimes it's as simple as muscle relaxers in the way they work. I had one that I use as needed and it just didn't work as well as the 1 that I use all the time as a preventative that usually people with MS have but it works the best for me

I use Celebrex which works ok. I still have pain but not as bad. I can't take any other NSAID but for some reason this doesn't bother me much.

In the beginning it is very hard because of insurance and the way medications have to process. You have to try certain medications before you can try others and you have to try them a certain way before you can have others. Everything just takes so long to work. It was very discouraging at 1st because I wanted instant relief that I couldn't get.. But now I feel like I'm doing really well on the combination I have and I'm finally on humira . Getting on a biologic has made the greatest difference. They do make you try methotrexate for it usually and I thought that helped a lot, but it was cause spinal pain and fog for me.

Absolutely. I am a year and a half into disease. And the first six months it was such a strong flare that it got nearly every single one of my joints. I thought I was going to end up in a wheelchair rather quickly. Thankfully, hydroxychloroquine kicked in after a month or two and completed resolved all of my inflammation. I still have the slightest inflammation from time to time but that’s usually only if I miss a dose, etc. Otherwise, it’s like saving to me!
