I was on a med regimen for years that really helped until I became allergic to a couple of the meds. I was taking Gabapentin (Neurontin) instead of Lyrica. Lyrica didn't help me but the Gabapentin did. I was also on Cymbalta which blocks pain perception to the brain. When I went out or had people over, I took a pain med (hydrocodone such as Vicodin or Norco). But after many years, any different pain meds, I became allergic to all opiates and also to the Gabapentin. But it was all a great combination for a long time. My doctor is trying me out now on a low dose of Topamax for pain which which seems to be helping. Because I have so many med allergies, she always starts me out on a low dose with a new med. Since I haven't developed an allergic reaction, she'll increase it when I see her again in a couple of weeks. I hope this info helps.

Hello, I have had fibromyalgia for 34 years I got it as a young nurse when they didn't even know what it really was. They thought it was lupus possible diabetes they didn't have an answer and I also developed it at the same time I developed sarcodosis. I didn't get intractable migraines until many years later but I did suffer from chronic migraines they just weren't as intense or lasted it is long. So its gone from it's all in your head too it's an all encompassing body illness that's not like threatening. I've learned about fibro fog, fibro bladder, It went from being a neurotic young womens emotional illness To everything that's wrong with you being Is caused by fibromyalgia. I've had Anti-depressants, Lyrica, Narcotics, Physical therapy, needling, acupuncture, Water aerobics, massage therapy, Chiropractory And even weight loss surgery. I worked 24 years as a nurse and the last 10 as a dog groomer All while still enduring fibrositis as it was once called. It's still here and I still looking (not Evasively any more) for relief.

Well I did discover something called Kratos On this site. I looked it up I haven't taken it yet but I did purchase it I'm just nervous. I've taken all kinds of pain relief medicine delete medicine oxycontin I oxycodone percocet demerol at 1 point when Drs use that. I've had chronic pains since I was a teenager I've had fibromyalgia diagnosis since 1989. I I tried all kinds of things for my pain the problem I'm having now is the paying levels at night are just off the charts I'm not able to sleep I have chronic intractable migraines. So I read about crater and I'm just wondering does anyone else know anything about it. I can't really use THC products because I am on paying management but I don't really like the THC THC products either I don't like to be out of control I don't buy a hallucination or having my mind not in sync with what I want it to do. So for this reason I am very limited even in drinking alcohol I don't mind being relaxed but I just don't like the effects of being high. So I'm afraid you're a little nervous to take the kratom but I did get it in a powder form so that I could sort of regulate how much I got at a time. If anybody knows anything about this herb I would truly like to have your input.

Because you may discover treatments you haven't tried, ideas for helping your physical and emotional well being, and sometimes just to have someone to talk to who understands what you are going through. Many fibromyalgia patients have family or friends who cannot relate to their limitations and it effects relationships.

I, too, have fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed 24 years ago. So I've had years of experience with various meds, etc. If you have questions or concerns about your fibromyalgia and treatment, this is where you can connect with others who have the same diagnosis. Compare info, history, what has worked for others, etc.
